just a few minutes away is the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust a world-renowned
elephant rescue and rehabilitation center located at the edge of the park.
Founded in memory of renowned naturalist David Sheldrick, this sanctuary is a
cornerstone of Kenya’s wildlife conservation efforts. It focuses primarily on the
rescue and rehabilitation of orphaned baby elephants whose mothers have been
lost due to poaching, human-wildlife conflict, or natural causes.


What to Expect:

The public visiting hour is from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, where you'll see the
adorable baby elephants during their mud bath and feeding time.

Learn about the rescue stories of each elephant and how they are
rehabilitated and reintroduced to the wild.
